Weather in Corydon

The state park of O'Bannon Woods was contacted and employees stated that the sites and roads to the park are OK.  The club's April/May Rally is still a go.

Hey, How Do I Get to the Corydon Rally?

The roads to the Corydon Rally are good which should make for an enjoyable trip.  Most of our members will be traveling from the north since the rally is in the south. If your are traveling from the south use the map below for the best route to the rally.
Directions:
  • Take I-65 south from Indianapolis
  • Take exit 6B to merge onto I-265 W/IN-62 W toward I-64/New Albany
  • Take exit 0 to merge onto I-64 W/IN-62 W toward IN-62 W/St. Louis
  • Continue to follow I-64
  • Take exit 105 for IN-135 toward Palmyra/Corydon
  • Turn right at IN-135 S
  • Turn right at IN-62 W
  • Turn left at IN-462 S
  • Continue onto Old Forest Rd.
  • Turn right to stay on Old Forest Rd.
  • Slight left
  • Arrive at 7234 Old Forest Rd./O'Bannon Woods State Park

April 28, Thursday –
Dinner on your own-
Members may choose to go to the Overlook Restaurant which is positioned uniquely on a bluff in Leavenworth, Indiana, the Overlook Restaurant offers a 20 mile panoramic vista of the Ohio River. As you enjoy your meal, watch barges churning up and down the river or the sun setting behind the wooded hills of Indiana.

April 29, Friday -
8:30 - Continental Breakfast
10:00 – 12:00 - Golf Shores Fun Center, Enjoy an 18-hole miniature golf outdoor or indoor black light course, snack bar, and arcade room. Price: $5.00 per round of miniature golf.
12:30 – 2:15 - Enjoy heavy appetizers and the beautiful countryside at Scout Mountain Winery, while learning how easy it is to cook with wine and herbs, and how it immense the flavor of food, and also how to make Sangria! With a variety of wine from dry to sweet you’re sure to find something to please your palate. (Good food, good friends, good wine) Price: Tasting ONLY – FREE - $10.00 for cooking class and tasting.
5:30 – Dinner and meeting at Magdalena’s Restaurant and Café on The Square, a locally owned dining establishment on the historic downtown square, you’ll taste the difference.

April 30, Saturday -
8:30 - Continental Breakfast
9:30 – 10:30 - Guided tour of Indiana’s First State Capitol (circa 1816-1825) and Governor Hendricks Headquarters a two story federal style brick building built in 1817.
Price: $3 per person
10:30 – 11:15 - Watch in amazement a demonstration of hand-blown art glass at Zimmerman Art Glass Factory. (With the tools he learned to use as child Kerry Zimmerman carries on a family tradition that has continued through three generations. Watch he conducts off-hand glassmaking, meaning they make glass items by hand without the use of molds. Zimmerman’s make 110 different pieces of art like paperweights, fruit and holiday ornaments.) Price: Free
11:15 – Lunch on your own and shopping on the historic downtown square.
