Great Fun at Tipton

Thanks to the Stoners and Johnsons members had an enjoyable weekend in Tipton.  Their choice of the Tipton County Fairgrounds was a good one.  The campsites were spacious and level.  We also had a meeting room available for the business meeting and meals.

In addition to enjoying the Tipton County Pork Festival, the Rally Masters made arrangements to tour the Kokomo Glass Factory.  What a history factory beginning in 1889.  The factory well known for their quality of glass and it supplies stained glass used in Tiffany windows, lamps, and art.

The Stoners should be complemented on the meals provided which included a breakfast and carry-in dinner.  The food was excellent.

Many thanks go to those members who have served as Rally Masters and Assist. Rally Masters.

October Rally and Fall Festivals

The October Rally will be held near Batesville and should be a beautiful drive to southern Indiana to enjoy the fall foliage.  Members will have full hook ups at the Indian Lake KOA near Batesville and the club will have use of the club house for our meals.
The rally masters will provide a light supper on Thursday of Sloppy Joes, chips, and cookies.  Friday will begin with a pancake breakfast where you can see the rally masters flipping pancakes.  Wish them luck.  Saturday evening, fried chicken will be provided with members supplying side dishes.  Everyone knows what good cooks the club has, so it ought to be a great meal.  Donuts will be provided on Sunday and a short devotional service will end the rally.

Some of you may want to know what activities are planned for the rally.  Well…… Members are invited to attend two festivals.
On Friday participants can join in the fun at the wine festival at Ertel Winery where they can enjoy a pork roast, entertainment, and wares by a wide variety of vendors.  Saturday, members can travel to Metamora to enjoy Canal Days.  When visiting Metamora, it is like taking a step back in time to see how the early settlers lived.

Other optional activities include visiting the Milan Museum of sports memorabilia, Weberding’s Carving Shop, and RomWeber Marketplace.

Please mail your registration by September 15th to so that we can hold the 25 sites that we have reserved.  If we have more than 25 the campground will work to accommodate us, but they might not be full hook up sites.

We are excited about gathering with friends in the fall.
