Hoosier Cruisers – Southern Christmas Party Reminder

The Southern Christmas Party for the Hoosier Cruisers will be held on Tuesday December 1st at 2:30 PM at the Golden Corral in Anderson, Indiana.  Golden Corral is located at the interchange of I-69 and State Road 109 – Exit 226 [old numbering system was Exit 26].  We meet at the hour 2:30 because the senior citizen discounts starts then.  Tell them you are with the Hoosier Cruisers and they will direct you to room we will be meeting in.

Please email Ross Boyer if you are coming so he can give Golden Corral a head count.
Thanks and look forward to seeing you at Anderson.

Sad News to Report

I am deeply saddened and with a heavy heart to report that our immediate past Executive Vice President Richard Shumaker passed away suddenly on Friday November 20.  We all loved and enjoyed being with Dick over the years.  I personally enjoyed working with Dick since I joined the Hoosier Cruisers some 5 or 6 years ago.  He and Janice were always helpful and did a wonderful job with the Rallies.  Services for Dick will be at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church Wednesday November 25 at 10:00 AM Central Standard Time.  Calling will be at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel on Tuesday November 24 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday November 25 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Central Standard Time.  His obituary can be found at:

Please keep Janice and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Northern Christmas Party a Great Success

A very special Thank You to the 39 Northern HC that attended the Christmas dinner Nov. 7th.

You were so generous with your donations of food, hats/gloves for children.  They were given to the Family Christian Center in Nappanee, In.

The food was great and a fun time was had by all.  We played Bingo with our gifts and a lantern, soup cup, carry basket were the hot items.

It was also our pleasure to have the National Vice President Jon Walker and his wife Sondra there too.

Have a safe and wonderful Winter Season, see you in the Spring!!!        Tilmanns/O'Dells
