Join Us in July--Auburn, IN --July 11 - 14, 2019

Come join us for a weekend of exploring the historic town of Auburn, Indiana and  DeKalb County.  Auburn is known as the “Home of the Classics” for their role in the early     automotive industry and the annual Kruse Auto Auctions that attracts bidders from all over the world. During the rally we’ll visit Sechler’s pickles for some pickle enlightenment and pickle tasting! We’ll enjoy an evening at the DeKalb Outdoor Theater for a presentation of The Pied Piper presented  by Excelsior Arts Academy of Auburn (all we need to do is bring a lawn chair)! There will be free time during the rally to explore some of those “Must See Museums” such as the Cord Duesenberg Auto, National Auto and Truck, Kruse’s National Military History and the Auto/Carriage Museums, to name a few.  If you enjoy historic homes/buildings, a self guided sidewalk walking tour will provide a view and history of 44 structures in the historic district of the city. So come join us for a weekend of exploring pickles, autos, history, live theater, eating and best of all–hanging out with your Hoosier Cruiser Friends!!!!

Great Times in Allegan

Over 20 coaches traveled to Allegan Fairgrounds in Michigan. Many served as volunteers as helping with the shuttles, working at the FMCA store, and serving various other tasks that are needed to ensure a successful rally for all. All should be proud of our chapter, Hoosier Cruisers who have traveled and worked together for 45 years.

So that our club can't be missed the chapter purchased two new flags to help identify the location of our club at rallies and events.  So.....look for the new flags when attending your next rally.

During the rally members experienced three great evening performances.  Wednesday, we were treated to music by Sarah Getto.  She is an amazing musician who has excelled even though she was born without her sight and is self taught.  Sarah has provided entertainment for GLAMARAMA previously, and again, she provided an exceptional program. Friday, attendees were treated to familiar songs from the '60s by Shindig.  Members enjoyed the music and even danced to the popular tunes.  Saturday, Motor City Soul performed a wide variety of music styles including R & B, Motown, Soul, and oldies.  Great Fun!

In addition to the entertainment, there were seminars and interesting places to visit. One outstanding nearby point of interest was the Gilmore Auto Museum.  This museum has autos from the 1800's up to present day. The extensive collection of top quality automobiles was impressive.  It would take more that a day to really appreciate the cars exhibited.

There was a special celebration for Hoosier Cruisers on Thursday. The club was established in 1974 and celebrated their 45th anniversary.  We gathered at the Mugshots Coffeehouse for a delicious meal.

Sunday, the rally came to an end and all returned home until the next rally.
