Cruising to Corydon

Have you ever taken a trip to the state capital? Sure you have, but have you visited the first Indiana Capital? Well, you will have that opportunity if you attend the first rally in 2011 by traveling to Corydon, Indiana. The rally will begin April 28th, and ends May 1st and will be held at O’Bannon Woods State Park.

The Wessels and Rusters have been busy planning and organizing the April/May Rally. After searching several possible camping sites they selected the beautiful O’Bannon Woods State Park and believe that you will enjoy your camping experience with level wooded sites.

Here are a few of the exciting experiences that are in store for those attending the Corydon Rally:
• Historic tour of the first state capital building and other historic buildings
• Dinner at Magdelena’s Restaurant
• Indoor golf with black light artwork
• Winery visit and cooking school
• Shopping in historic Corydon
• Carry-in dinner
• Great fellowship

For the best sites make your reservations early. Camping reservations can be made by phone (1-866-622-6746) or on the web ( www.camp.in.gov/ ). Click on the web address above to go to the reservation site. When reserving a site on the web go to the bottom of the page and click “start”, when selecting sites choose motor home 35+ feet or smaller. There are only a few sites for larger motor homes. The 35+ sites appear to be able to handle up to 40 foot coaches. If you want to be near the action, select a site near #60 or #62 where the rally masters will be camping.

Stay tuned to the blog for more upcoming information including the rally application. Of course the information and application will also be available in the newsletter.

The rally masters and assistant rally masters are excited about the upcoming rally in a friendly, relaxed community.
